The Chair leads the Board’s governance work, chairs Board meetings, supports effective decision-making and serves as the primary governance contact for the Executive Director between meetings.

The Board includes elected officers who support the effective functioning of the Board while remaining part of the collective governance body.

The Vice-Chair supports the Chair and assumes the responsibilities of the Chair when required. The role also supports leadership continuity and succession.
The Treasurer supports Board-level financial oversight and helps Directors understand budgets, financial reporting, audits, controls, variances and significant financial risks.
The Secretary supports the integrity of the Society’s governance records, including minutes, notices and corporate documentation.
Directors participate fully in governance, prepare for meetings, contribute to Board and committee discussions and exercise independent judgment while supporting the collective decisions of the Board.
